Bob Seger was among the surprise performers on Sunday night, Oct. 21, in Nashville to pay tribute to this year's Country Music Hall of Fame inductees at the shrine's annual Medallion ceremony.
Seger sang "That Summer" to honor Garth Brooks, with Brooks' wife Trisha Yearwood singing background. Brooks was inducted alongside Connie Smith and Hargus "Pig" Robbins.
Also performing during Sunday's ceremony were George Strait, James Taylor, Vince Gill, Ronnie Dunn, Ronnie Milsap and Crystal Gayle, among others. The Country Music Hall of Fame was created in 1961 by the Country Music Association, which continues to administer the institution.
