The Australian punk rock troupe Crime And The City Solution reunited last year -- and based itself in Detroit, where frontman Simon Bonney now resides. The group's lineup has a Motor City flavor as well thanks to members Matthew Smith (Outrageous Cherry, the Volebeats) and Troy Gregory (the Dirtbombs, Swans, Spiritualized).
A compilation called "A History of Crime," came out last month, while the group is working on a new album for release in 2013.
The group performs Friday, Oct. 19, in the Rivera Court at the Detroit Institute of Arts, 5200 Woodward Ave., Detroit. Showtime is 7 p.m., with American Mars opening. Call 313-833-7900 or visit www.dia.org.
