Thanks to his work with The Numbers, Rocket 455, the Detroit Cobras, the Go and Bulldog -- not to mention a brief tenure in Kid Rock's Twisted Brown Trucker Band -- Kenny Tudrick is one of Detroit's most respected and highly visible musicians. But these days he's working under a different name.
The singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has released his first-ever solo album, a self-titled two-disc, 19-track set produced by Tudrick mostly in his own studio, with contributions by keyboardist Chris Codish and guitarist Jackson Smith. Tudrick is celebrating "Kenny Tudrick" on Saturday, Sept. 8, at Small's, 10339 Conant, Hamtramck.
Colorwheel and Ohio Knife will also perform. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10. Call 313-873-1117 or visit www.smallsbardetroit.com
