Famed rock guitarist Dick Wagner has come back to Michigan with a vengeance this week, giving fans in the metro area a couple of chances to check him out.

Wagner, 69 -- who led the Michigan bands the Bossmen, the Frost and Ursa Major and went on to work wtih Alice Cooper and Lou Reed and, in the studio, with Kiss and Aerosmith -- will sign copies of his memoir, "Not Only Women Bleed: Vignettes From the Heart of a Rock Musician" starting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, at UDetroit Cafe, 1427 Randolph St. in Detroit's Harmonie Park. Wagner is also planning an unplugged-style performance that night.

On Saturday, July 28, Wagner plays a full-scale band show at 8 p.m. at Callahan's Music Hall, 2105 South Blvd., Auburn HIlls. Tickets are $35-$55. Call 248-858-9509 or visit www.atcallahans.com.
