It's been a hard year for the Detroit rock group Citizen Zero following the April death of guitarist Matt Dudley. But his brothers Greg and John and singer Josh Mayle are soldiering on and with a new guitarist (fellow Rochester Adams High School grad Jason Alvarado) and return to the fray this weekend at the Crofoot Ballroom in Pontiac.

The show will also kick off a Kickstarter.com campaign that the quartet is launching to fund a new EP. Citizen Zero will offer those donating to the cause a variety of awards, including song downloads, private performances and possibly having your initials tattooed onto one of the band members.

Citizen Zero performs on Sunday, June 24. Doors open at 5 p.m. with Tripp N' Dixie and Red Stone Rockers also on the bill. Admission is $10. The Crofoot is located at 1 S. Saginaw St. Call (248) 858-9333 or visit www.thecrofoot.com.
