The Police are coming to Detroit — to play, not to work. Though an area concert isn’t on the group’s 30th anniversary tour itinerary announced Monday (Feb. 12), the reunited trio will play in mid-July at The Palace of Auburn Hills; a date — or dates — is expected to be announced within the next couple of weeks. The group’s first tour in 23 years kicks off on May 28 in Vancouver. Most of the tickets will be $90, though premium seats will be $225 and there will also be some $50 tickets. There will be a four-ticket limit per person when the show is announced. A presale will be held for fans who join www.thepolicetour. com for a $100 fee on top of the ticket prices.
