Detroit's Comerica Park will turn into Margaritaville on July 28, when Jimmy Buffett plays his annual area concert there instead of his usual sold-out stop at the DTE Energy Music Theatre.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on March 12 at the box office, via www.Tickets.com by phone at 866-668-4437. Ticket prices and opening acts will be announced soon.
The show marks Buffett's first concert inside the Detroit city limits, according to Olympia Entertainment. The show will be preceded by a free Buffet's Beach Party in the parking lots surrounding Comerica Park, which will begin at 8 p.m. and include activities such as hula hooping, margarita tasting, midway games and live entertainment.
Buffett will be releasing a new live album this summer, which was recorded last October in Las Vegas.
