Pike Room hosts pair of CD release parties

The Pike Room inside Pontiac's Crofoot will host a pair of debut CD release parties this weekend.

Rocky Loves Emily, a modern rock quintet from Sterling Heights, celebrates the release of its national debut, "Secrets Don't Make Friends," on Friday, April 27. The group will be joined by Under Everyone, Quicksand Swimclub, Almost Alice, Easy Vibe and Electric Graffiti. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 day of show and include a copy of the album.

Rocky Loves Emily will also play Pontiac's iLounge on June 8 with Rival Summers and Paradise Fears.

Flint headbangers Myths and Legends, meanwhile, roll out their debut EP "Bring Me Stars" with a Pike Room show on Sunday, April 29. The quintet will be joined by Athena's Grace, Time Bob Radicals, Ready Set Rendezvous and more. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 day of show.
