Detroit singer-songwriter Ty Stone finally has a chance to show his "American Style."
The singer-songwriter from Lincoln Park, who's signed to Kid Rock's Top Dog Records label, will release his debut album on March 6. Physical CDs will be available exclusively through Meijer stores, while the digital version of "American Style" will be available at all major online retailers.
Stone will celebrate the album's release with a concert March 20 at the Fillmore Detroit. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12.50 at the door. Doop & the Inside Outlaws, Brandon Calhoon and Paulina Jayne will also perform, while students from the School of Rock will play in the lobby.
Stone has been working on "American Style," which was executive-produced by Rock, for more than a year. He recently released a video for the single "Anywhere's Better;" the clip features cameos from Rock and Uncle Kracker and stars Ashley Ann Vickers from CMT's "Sweet Home Alabama."
In a Facebook post announcing the release date, Stone writes, "Thank you all so much for being patient about the CD! I can't wait to share this music with you!"
Stone is setting up on online listening party and promises "a big bash" in Detroit that's currently being planned. He kicks off a tour opening for Uncle Kracker on March 1 in Macomb, Ill., and will be part of Rock's Chillin' The Most Cruise in April.
