— The current incarnation of Detroit’s Sponge will play the original band’s 1994 debut album, “Rotting Piñata,” in its entirety on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Emerald Theatre, 31 N. Walnut St., Mount Clemens. “Rotting Piñata” was certified gold and launched the Top 5 Modern Rock hits “Plowed” and “Molly (16 Candles Down the Drain).” Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15. — Singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Brae (ne Brandon Husken) celebrates the release of his third album, “Another Time and Place,” on Friday, Jan. 27, at the Pike Room in the Crofoot, 1 S.
