Could circumstances lead to a previously unplanned Bob Seger show in the Detroit area early next year?

The answer is a definite...maybe.

Appearing on WCSX-FM Monday morning, November 21, to promote his new "Ultimate Hits: Rock and Roll Never Forgets" collection, Seger confirmed that after postponing a Nov. 11 show in Greenville, S.C., until Jan. 14 due to a cold, he'll be adding some other dates around it. Seger's current tour with is Silver Bullet Band was slated to end Dec. 30 in Las Vegas.

Seger said Monday that "I think we might have a Florida date right ahead of" the rescheduled show, and that "because the production's so big, we have to add some dates." As to whether one (or more) of those could be back home, he said, "I just don't know right now...I'm not ruling it out. I just don't know yet."

Just prior to the tour, Seger had ruled out the possibility of another area show, saying that his extensive Michigan itinerary during his spring tour had saturated the area. "Last time, geez, we did two Grand Rapids, two Toledos, Saginaw, we did three Detroits -- so, y'know, next year," Seger said.

He did, however, open the current trek on Nov. 2 at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti.
