Roger Waters is building "The Wall" back to North America -- and to Detroit.
The former Pink Floyd bassist and songwriter is bringing his epic theatrical production of the group's 1979 rock opera -- which played in October of 2010 at the Palace of Auburn Hills -- to Joe Louis Arena in June 5 as part of a tour that kicks off May 1 in Houston.
Waters will also perform on June 6 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. Tickets for all of the shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at the box office, Ticketmaster and LiveNation.com.
Waters 2010-11 world tour with "The Wall" grossed more than $191 million in ticket sales in its 120 shows -- including a May 12 show in London where Waters was joined by former Pink Floyd bandmates David Gilmour and Nick Mason.
"The Wall" has sold more than 24 million copies worldwide. A pair of new editions of the album, part of the Why Pink Floyd? catalog reissue campaign, will be released on Feb. 27.
