More than 40 autographed guitars and other memorabilia will be part of the seventh Stars Guitars auction and concert, Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Ford Community Performing Arts Center in Dearborn.

Proceeds from the event go to benefit the Charles A. Main M.D. Pediatric Cancer Survivor Scholarship Fund, which aids young cancer survivors. Since 1992, the fund has awarded more than $600,000 in scholarships.

This year’s assortment of instruments has been signed by artists such as Jeff Beck, Sting, Slash, Willie Nelson, Maroon5, Ted Nugent, Rush and others. Also up for grabs will be a trip to the “American Idol” finale during May in Los Angeles, jewelry and restaurant spa packages. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with both live and silent auctions and a strolling dinner, while a performance by the Guess Who caps the night.

Tickets are $75 general admission and $125 for patrons, which includes preferred seating at the concert. Call 248-551-9887 or visit www.starsguitars.org.
