Bob Seger will start his next North American tour close to home.
Seger and his Silver Bullet Band will kick off the trek on Nov. 2 at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center in Ypsilanti. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Sept. 24 at the box office and Ticketmaster, with prices still to be announced. It's Seger's first performance at the Convocation Center.
The EMU date is among 13 initial dates announced for the tour, including a Nov. 13 slot at the inaugural Orlando Calling festival in Florida, the opening show of the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind., on Nov. 9 and a Dec. 1 concert at New York's Madison Square Garden. More shows, including a West Coast swing, will be announced soon.
Seger has been working on a new album, but there's no release date has been determined. On Tuesday, Sept. 13, he re-releases his two concert albums -- "Live Bullet" and "Nine Tonight" -- with remastered sound and each containing a new track.
