Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band have announced a second date for their upcoming fall tour.
The group will be the grand opening act on Nov. 9 for the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the box office and via Ticketmaster.
In a statement, Evansville Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel said that Seger "is a true rock 'n' roll legend with a broad fan base and a cross-generational appeal. I'm thrilled to have (Seger and the band)...christen the Ford Center stage."
The Evansville date joins a Nov. 13 headlining stop at the inaugural Orlando Calling festival in Florida. The tour is expected to start in early November, in Ohio, and the original tour announcement specified cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Tampa, Orlando, Dallas, Denver and Vancouver.
No Detroit area dates have been mentioned yet.
Seger is still working on a new studio album, with no release date set. He's bringing out remastered and expanded versions of his two live albums, "Live Bullet" and "Nine Tonight," on Sept. 13.
