— Detroit blues great Eddie Kirkland was killed in an auto accident in spring, but neither he nor his family have been forgotten. A group of local artists and admirers — including R.J.’s Rhythm Rockers, the Party Stompers, Harmonica Shah and others — will perform at the Detroit Blues Society’s tribute at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, at Callahan’s Music Hall, 2105 South Blvd., Auburn Hills.
