Rap icons Jay-Z and Kanye West will kick off a highly anticipated joint concert tour on Sept. 22 at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
The two MCs, who have dubbed their collaboration The Throne, have joined forces for an album, "Watch the Throne," that comes out via iTunes on Aug. 8. The single "Otis," a posthumous collaboration with the late soul great Otis Redding debuted last week; the 12-track album also includes guest appearances by Jay-Z's wife Beyonce ("Lift Off"), Frank Ocean ("No Church in the Wild") and British singer "Mr. Hudson." Producers include Swizz Beatz, Q-Tip, the Neptunes and The RZA of Wu-Tang Clan.
The Throne has confirmed 24 dates for its Watch The Throne Tour, including two-night stands in West's home town of Chicago, in Los Angeles and in East Rutherford, N.J., near Jay-Z's New York base.
Ticket details for the Palace show are expected to be announced soon.
