Elton John to play Windsor in lieu of DTE

Elton John's announced concert at the DTE Energy Music Theatre has disappeared, but the veteran rock superstar is still coming to the Detroit metro area.

John, who was supposed to play September 13 at DTE, but the show was removed from his schedule last week. John will now play a solo greatest hits show at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, Ontario. Showtime is 8 p.m.

Tickets are $153.25 and $93.25 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday (July 22) at the box office, by calling 1-866-969-9328 or at www.wfcu-centre.com.
