Palace Sports & Entertaining is discounting prices on 45 events at the Palace, the DTE Energy Music Theatre and the Meadow Brook Music Festival for its sixth annual Two-Day Ticket Blitz, which takes place Monday and Tuesday (July 18-19).
The promotion includes deep discounts on most of the venues' remaining summer season. Pavilion seats for the July 22 Slayer and Rob Zombie concert at DTE, for instance, will be knocked down from $39.50 and $29.50 to $16. Keith Urban's July 23 show at the Palace will be reduced from $58 to $41, while a $149.50 ticket to see Britney Spears on July 28 at the Palace will be $89.50. The $102.50 and $52.50 seats for Sade on Aug. 3 at the Palace will be $57 and $32.
Besides concerts, the Two-Day Ticket Blitz will cover comedy and family shows, as well as special events like the Wine and Food Festival on Aug. 27-28 at Meadow Brook and sporting events such as All-Star Basketball Festival on Aug. 6 at the Palace and the MMA Cage Fight Festival Sept. 10 at Meadow Brook.
One dollar form each ticket sold will be donated to need metro Detroit schools to help purchase supplies for the coming school year.
The Blitz begins at 8 a.m. Monday and wraps at 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the Palace and DTE box offices, www.palacenet.com or by calling 248-377-0100. A full list of discounted shows will be posted at the web site.
