If you're looking for a loud Saturday night (May 28), stay inside and tune into the 3rd Annual Revolver Golden God Awards broadcast at 10 p.m. on VH1 Classic.
The show, presented by Revolver magazine, features the surviving founding members of the Alice Cooper band, recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, playing "School's Out." Cooper received the Hunted: The Demon's Forge Golden God Award at the ceremony, which was held April 20 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles.
Other highlights of the show include: Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul joining Avenged Sevenfold on a version of Pantera's "Mouth For War;" Sebastian Bach singing Skid Row's "Youth Gone Wild" with Asking Alexandria;" a rendition of Judas Priest's "Electric Eye" with Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor, Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones and Guns 'N Roses/Velvet Revolver/Loaded bassist Duff McKagan; and Anthrax's Scott Ian joining Volbeat for Dusty Springfield's "I Only Want to Be With You."
Lars Ulrich and Robert Trujillo of Metallica, Black Sabbath's Geezer Butler and Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro also appear in the broadcast, which is hosted by Chris Jericho. Other awardees include Motley Crue (the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award), Avenged Sevenfold (Afflicton Album of the Year Award) and William Shatner (Honorary Headbanger Award).
