Fans of the long-defun“The Grateful Dead Movie,”ct Grateful Dead can get their tie-dye fix on Wednesday, April 20, with a one-night-only theatrical screening of 1977’s “The Grateful Dead Movie,” culled from the group’s 1974 performances at the Winterland Arena in San Francisco. The film, which came out on DVD in 2004, includes performances of Dead classics such as “Truckin’,” “Sugar Magnolia,” “Casey Jones” and “One More Saturday Night.”
Area theaters showing the film include the Commerce Township 14, the AMC Livonia 20, the AMC Forum 30 in Sterling Heights, the Canton Cinema, the Oxford 7, the Flint West 14 and the Ann Arbor 20.
