Homegrown Happenings: Blowout, /Something Utopic and more...

* The 14th annual Blowout festival continues for two more nights, Friday and Saturday, March 4-5, with more than 100 local groups and artists playing at 14 venues in Hamtramck. Wristbands are $20 and cover all venues for the rest of the Metro Times-sponsored event's run. A full schedule and other details can be found at www2.metrotimes/blowout.

* For those who just want to bang on the drum all day, Foli Detroit will present a Rhythm Family Djembe class at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 4, at Detroit's Magic Stick, followed by a free-form drumdance circle. * Aretha Franklin's son Teddy Richards, the Analog Dogs, the Crawlers (featuring former members of (bop) Harvey) and members of the Verve Pipe will united on Saturday, March 5, at Suzefest, a benefit for their ailing friend and fellow Michigan State University grad Suzanne Prichard.
