News:
Bob Seger teases big tour announcement
More signs are pointing to a Bob Seger tour happening sooner rather than later.
The Seger camp will make an unspecified announcement Thursday morning that's expected to acknowledge the tour, the Detroit rocker's first since 2006-07. Meanwhile, a 42-second teaser video has been posted on YouTube and Seger's official web site mixing Seger songs and archival visuals with a U.S. map highlighting Michigan, Ohio, Missouri and New York.
A countdown leads to a frame telling viewers to "Stay tuned to bobseger.com."
Rumors have floated around town recently about Seger and his Silver Bullet Band rehearsing, and the video includes snippets of "Night Moves, "Old Time Rock and Roll," "Mainstreets," "Against the Wind" and "Rock and Roll Never Forgets."
Seger had initially announced his intent to hit the road again last March 26 during a call-in to one of Dick Purtan's final radio broadcasts. A fall tour was tentatively planned and then withdrawn when Seger decided to spend more time recording.
