— The Detroit Fire Guild isn’t a fancy name — it’s a union of fire and circus-style performance art artists who will present a Winter Ball on Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Eagle Theater, 15 S. — The Orbitsuns, They Never Sleep, Chapstik, the Shakey Jakes and Lava Moth are among the several groups banding together for Rock For Christel, a benefit for Detroit music scene fixture Christel Wagner, who’s battling colorectal cancer without health insurance. The show takes place Saturday, Jan. 15, at Small’s Bar, 10339 Conant, Hamtramck. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is $5 before 10 p.m., $10 after, with proceeds going to Wagner’s medical care.
