* Musicians from the striking Detroit Symphony Orchestra play the first of a trio of December concerts at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at St. Hugo of the Hills, 2215 Opdyke Road, Bloomfield Hills. Conducted by Wayne State University music professor and Dearborn Symphony Orchestra music director Kypros Markou, the musicians will play pieces by Tchaikovsky, Rimsky Korsakov, Chadwick, Hanson, Pachelbel, Humperdinck and Smetana.
