Homegrown Happenings: DSO musicians, Maunder Minimum and more...
* Striking musicians from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra kick off an October concert series at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at Temple Beth El, 7400 Telegraph Road, Bloomfield Hills. Grant Cooper will be the guest conductor and cellist Robert deMaine the featured soloist for a program of Brahms, Verdi and Saint-Saens.
