* Detroit jazz and World Music artist Sean Blackman hits the home of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra on Friday, Sept. 24, for In Transit, a musical travelogue that takes listeners through the indigenous music of Armenia, Senagal, Brazil and other exotic locales. The show takes place at 8 p.m. at Orchestra Hall, 3711 Woodward Ave., Detroit. Tickets are $18-35. Call 313-576-5111 or visit www.detroitsymphony.org.

* Warren-based rockers I See Stars will play songs from their forthcoming debut album “3D” on Friday, Sept. 24, at the Crofoot Ballroom, 1 S. Saginaw St., Pontiac. * Blanche and Amp Fiddler will provide the tunes at the Greening of Detroit’s 20th anniversary celebration, taking place from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Shed 5 in Detroit’s Eastern Market, 2934 Russell St. Two dozen Detroit area eateries will provide food and cooking demonstrations, while a Live Love Local Eco-Village will showcase environmentally friendly initiatives.
