The Rolling Stones are the subject of the latest Big Screen Concert event with the newly remastered version of the 1974 concert film “Ladies & Gentlemen ... The Rolling Stones.”
The movie, which comes out Oct. 12 on DVD will screen at more than 530 theaters around the country, including several in the metro Detroit area, on Thursday, Sept. 16. It chronicles the Stones’ 1972 tour in support of the group’s “Exile on Main Street” album, filmed in Dallas and Houston and featuring performances of “Tumbling Dice,” “Brown Sugar,” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” and “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.”
In a statement, frontman Mick Jagger recalled that “it’s a full-on performance and energy levels are really high ... everyone’s very together and on.”
