* An assortment of British pop influences will be on aural display when the Detroit bands Spitting Nickels, the Prime Ministers and Chris Richards & the Subtractions combine forces Friday, July 9, at the Pike Room in the Crofoot, 1 S. * The Broken Arrow Blues Band, Groove Dog and a reptilian “supergroup” collaboration between the Alligators and the Boa Constrictors, among others, will gather on Saturday, July 10, to play a benefit for the 1/24 Memorial Fund to erect a memorial for 22 U.S. Marines from the Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Harrison Township who lost their lives in combat. * Detroit Exposure celebrates its studio opening with Sneak Attack!, a party on Saturday, July 10, featuring performances by the Rev.
