* Electric Fire Babies, DUENDE!, The Wrong Numbers, Canja Rave, Mr. SHZ and DJ Save Matt will perform at a launch concert for the new Detroit-based record company Motorcity Special, which takes place at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at the Jazz Cafe in the Music Hall Center, 350 Madison St., Detroit. The acts’ performances will be recorded and pressed into limited edition vinyl releases, which Motorcity Special hopes to do regularly at different venues around Metro Detroit. Admission is $10.
