— The Detroit Blues Society has a double-header of events this weekend. On Saturday (Jan. 9) the crew will gather at Memphis Smoke, 100 S. Main St., Royal Oak, for its monthly meeting an annual awards ceremony, with performances by Kim Wilson, Jake Bishop, Sun House, Mike Moss, the Boa Constrictors and others. On Sunday (Jan. 10) the Blues Society holds a Detroit Blues Challenge Fundraiser from 3-7 p.m. at Callahan’s, 2105 South Blvd., Auburn Hills.
