A new Bob Seger album is scheduled to come out this fall.
The cover for "Early Seger, Vol. 1" was revealed Sunday (Oct. 25) on WXYZ-TV's "Action News This Morning" by the co-authors of the new book "Travelin' Man: On the Road and Behind the Scenes with Bob Seger" -- photographer Tom Weschler and Oakland Press music writer Gary Graff. The album shot of Seger performing in September of 1975 at Detroit's Cobo Arena is included in the book.
No release date or song listing have been disclosed for "Early Seger" yet, though the Weschler and Graff noted that it will feature "a collection of Bob Seger material that his fans have been wanting to hear for a long time on CD." Internet reports have indicated it's an album of older Seger songs that have been out of print, with some parts recently re-recorded.
A formal announcement about the album is expected soon.
