Bon Jovi begins the campaign for its new album, “The Circle,” this weekend with the debut of the documentary “When We Were Beautiful” at 9 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 24) on Showtime. Directed by Phil Griffin, the film was shot during the group’s 2008 “Lost Highway World Tour,” and features live performance footage as well as behind the scenes material and new interviews with the band members.
The New Jersey rockers then bring “The Circle” to NBC where they’ll be the network’s first Artist In Residence. That entails visits to NBC shows such as “Today,” “The Tonight Show,” “The Jay Leno Show,” “Saturday Night Live” and even “NBC Nightly News,” while Jon Bon Jovi will make an appearance on “Inside The Actors’ Studio” for NBC-owned Bravo.
Bon Jovi is planning to hit the road again in 2010 to promote the album, with a March 17 stop at the Palace of Auburn Hills
