Fergie, the Pussycat Dolls, Gavin DeGraw and Staind will be among the headliners for The Big Dance, a series of concerts taking place on the Detroit Riverfront during the NCAA Final Four Weekend.
The Pussycat Dolls and Gavin DeGraw will perform during the Big Dance Saturday, which runs 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on April 4. Staind, Gym Class Heroes, new Sean "Diddy" Combs protege Janelle Monae and fledgling rock band Parachute will be the national headliners at My Coke Fest from 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. on April 5. "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest will emcee Saturday's event.
The concerts take place on stages behind the GM Renaissance Center. Forty local acts from Detroit will also perform during The Big Dance, and more than 15 local restaurants and food operators will take part in the festivities.
Headliners have not been announced for the AT&T Block Party that takes place from 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m. on April 3, but one insider said there would be a band that "will raise some eyebrows."
The NCAA Final Four will be played on April 4 and 6 at Ford Field in downtown Detroit. Details are available at www.NCAA.com/finalfour.
