The Detroit Symphony Orchestra and new conductor Leonard Slatkin roll into Oakland County on Friday (Feb. 2) for a free concert at the Somerset Collection at Big Beaver and Coolidge roads in Troy. The DSO will perform highlights from its planned 2009-10 season, which will be accompanied by a fashion show. The performance begins at 7 p.m. in the mall’s main atrium. There may be only three members of Millions of Brazilians, but they plan to rock the roof off Pontiac’s Pike Room to celebrate the release of their latest EP on Saturday (Feb. 21).
