Organizers of the Rothbury music festival announced on Monday (Feb. 9) that the even will return to the Double JJ Ranch in western Michigan from July 2-4 this summer.
A performer line-up and ticket sale information is expected to be announced in the near future.
Last year's inaugural Rothbury festival drew an estimated 35-40,000 music fans to the site for performances by the Dave Matthews Band, Widespread Panic, members of Phish, John Mayer and dozens of others. Madison House Presents and AEG Live, who promote the event, promise "even more over-the-top entertainment experiences and broadened VIP offerings for the 2009 edition.
Producer Jeremy Stein says that Rothbury will continue its commitment towards practicing and educating attendees about "green" initiatives, including recycling, renewable energy and clean industry. Rothbury will continue to sponsor community initiatives such as the Solar Schools Program, a Music in Schools Program, a food drive and other initiatives.
