Three of Bob Seger albums are back on sale after being out of print for three years.

Newly remastered versions of "The Distance" (1982), "Like a Rock" (1986) and "The Fire Inside" (1991) have been brought back to the land of the living by Amazon.com as part of its 12 Days of Christmas promotion. Each is priced at $11.99 and are available exclusively at Amazon. No decision has been made yet about wider distribution.

The titles can be found on a newly upgraded Seger "store" at the online retailer (http://www.amazon.com/Bob-Seger/e/B000AQ3B9G. Besides Seger album's the site also contains videos of four songs -- "Hollywood Nights," "Like a Rock," "Still the Same" and "The Fire Inside" -- a gallery of vintage Seger images by Royal Oak-based photographer Thomas Weschler, biographical material and a discussion forum.

Seger has been inactive musically since winding up his "Face the Promise" tour in March of 2007 at Joe Louis Arena.
