Saturday night (July 26) will be alright for rocking this weekend at Pontiac’s Crofoot complex. Chiodos frontman Craig Owens, just returned from a quick Vans Warped Tour run with his side band Cinematic Sunrise, plays a solo show at 6 p.m. in the Pike Room. Rock trio the Hard Lessons, meanwhile, kick out the jams to celebrate the release of their new CD, “B&G Sides,” at 7 p.m in the Crofoot Ballroom. Judy Davids of the Detroit band the Mydols will be hosting fellow rocker Laurie Lindeen from Zuzu’s Petals for two book signings this weekend. The two will be autographing copies of their tomes — Davids’ “Rock Star Mommy” and Lindeen’s “Petal Pusher: A Rock and Roll Cinderella Story,” at 4:30-6 p.m. Saturday (July 26) at Northville Candle and Gifts, 124 N. Center St., Northville, and at 3 p.m. Sunday (July 27) at Barnes & Noble, 500 S. Main St., Royal Oak. The Mydols will also perform Saturday after the signing at Chase Bar and Grill, 133 W.
