Ypsilanti-born jazz singer Barbara Morrison, whose credits include Dizzy Gillespie, Ray Charles, James Moody, Dr. John and more, comes home to play shows Friday and Saturday (April 11 and 12) at Arturo’s Jazz Theatre and Restaurant, 25333 W. Twelve Mile Road in the Star Theatre Complex, Southfield. Joined by saxophonist Wendell Harrison and bassist Ralphe Armstrong, Morrison plays at 8 and 10 each night; tickets are $25.50 for the early show, $21 for the late show.
