Friends of local musician Scott “Scotty D” Douglas, who passed away Dec. 2 at age 18, are banding together for a benefit Friday (Jan. 11) at the Pike Room, 1 S. Saginaw St., Pontiac. Radio Pirate DJ, Cavanaugh, A World Away and William Bonnie are scheduled to perform, with money raised going to Douglas’ family. Doors open at 6 p.m., and a $5 minimum donation is suggested. Country-flavored rockers Whitey Morgan and some of their garage rock friends — the Grande Nationals, Van Go-Go and the Offramps — will raise a ruckus Friday (Jan. 11) at the Magic Bag, 22920 Woodward Ave., Ferndale.
