The Polish Muslims bring their annual holiday show for the second year in a row Friday (Dec. 14) at the Magic Bag, 22920 Woodward Ave., Ferndale. Stewart Francke will open, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the metro Detroit chapter of the cancer support group Gilda’s Club. Admission is $10. A collection of local singer-songwriters will perform a benefit concert Friday (Dec. 14) at the SLUM City Coffeehouse in the Seymour Lake United Methodist Church, 3050 Seymour Lake Road, Oxford. The lineup includes Bob Marshall, Dan Hazlett, Robert Marr, Robin Moore & the NorthStars, Foxfire, Tom Mansell & Marilyn, and Ann & Will Rowland. Detroit jazz guitarist Ron English will play standards and songs from his spiritual album, “Devotions,” at two free shows in the coming week. The Detroit Together Men’s Chorus performs a holiday concert Saturday (Dec. 15) entitled “Thanks For the Memories,” part of the troupe’s celebration of its 25th anniversary. The show takes place at 7:30 p.m. at the Berkley High School Auditorium, 2325 Catalpa St. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door, $12 for seniors and students and $25 for reserved seats.
