Exit is Vern Potter on vocals and guitar, Mike Wood on guitar, Motor City Scott on bass and Dale Allen on drums. All of the members hail from the Downriver area.
Founded in May 2002 by Downriver astrologist Potter, Exit took just one year to record and drop the debut Get on a Harley on Earth Records. The release coincided with Harley Davidson’s 100th anniversary celebration, and the quartet has since played notable Detroit and Downriver venues, including Harpo’s and, not surprisingly, the Detroit WRIF Harleyfest.
What's up with the name:
Potter cites musical reasons for the name Exit, saying that its definition of “to depart from” best represents the band’s non-mainstream, retro blues rock sound.
“If you liked the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s, then you’ll love our music,” said Potter, who describes the sounds as “All original, all real.”

Get on a Harley was put out in 2003, and can be purchased by writing to email@example.com. The forthcoming Next Exit is set for a May 1 release, according to Potter, just in time for the Motorcycle season.
Tell us your future?
Exit is currently busy booking summer show dates in the Detroit and Downriver areas, with appearances including The Gravel Pit and Big Al’s Sports Bar in May and the 2004 WRIF Harleyfest in June. Potter says that, with three Leos in the band, the stars are the limit right now for the group.
