Comments: Independent musician Christopher Bell has been touring solo for over four years as a multi-instrumentalist loop artist. He still loops his cello, but now hes backed by a band. Joined by Jesse Houle on guitar and Jenny Jade Albert on keyboard, Bell bows melodies and plucks bass lines. He now has the opportunity to expand on his complex arrangements with the added bonus of lush three-part vocals. Playing with a band gives me more freedom to explore each song to its full musical potential, Bell said. This diverse combination of cello, acoustic guitar, and rhodes-style keyboard lends itself to Bells signature complex harmonies. By utilizing a classical sensibility in his arrangements of pop-folk, Bell creates a dynamic sound that is far and away his own.
