Sharky and the Habit, was formed in Highland, MI in 2008 by longtime friends Paul Clos (vox) and James North (guitar) as an edgy acoustic rock/blues duo. Shortly thereafter the two went on to add guitarist turned drummer Phil Draham. After many bass players the new trio taught Liz Clos in a few short months how to play bass. Throwing Liz into the fire, the band played its first official show in Pontiac @ the Pike Room. Kicking and screaming as a full-fledged four piece, the bands explosive crunk/post punk, energetic rock earned Sharky numerous opening and headlining slots in and around the metro-Detroit area. After a year as a band Sharky took to Dark City Studios in Clawson to record their first full-length album. The record showcases that bands shoot from the hip approach and winner take all mentality. A Russian Roulette game of music that pushes one to the brink of disaster yet is unapologetic of what may or may not happen. The band is proud to release Lowe on May 14, 2010 at Clutch Cargos I Lounge with many of its closest friends.
