The members:
Solo country artist Tony Thompson, 25, grew up in New Boston and currently resides in Ecorse.
The history:
Thompson seemed destined for a career in music from the beginning — it all started with a tape recorder and his young, dreaming spirit.
“I used to love to record myself singing … and pretend introducing myself to an audience,” said Thompson, who first sang live, at the request of a friend, at his junior high school Valentine’s Day dance.
From that moment, when the crowd roared after his rendition of Jodeci’s “Come and Talk to Me,” a life on stage is what he wanted.
“Seeing the amazing response from people to my voice was the single biggest rush of my life,” he said. “From that day forward, I have known that entertaining people was all I wanted to do.”
Thompson grew in the next few years as a performer, participating in every school function possible — even singing before sporting events in his uniform before playing in games.
What's up with the name:
Thompson is still working on a name for his upcoming debut album, set for release this summer.
The style:
Thompson calls his craft a soulful style of country, trying to create sounds with as much personal feeling as he can — he cites artist Rascal Flatts as his main inspiration.
“They have shown me that you can sing country with a soulful voice,” Thompson said, adding that other favorites include Diamond Rio, Reba McEntire, Jimmy Buffet and Brooks & Dunn.
Got anything recorded?
Currently working on his first record, Thompson has three songs completed — the highlight for him so far is “One Last Kiss,” which was written by Jerry Dodson.

Tell us your future?
In the near future, Thompson will be shopping his demo to several record labels, hoping to be signed to a deal soon — after all, his goal is to one day make a full-time living pursuing this passion of singing.
In the meantime, Thompson said he will continue seeking new fans in the local area, playing out as much as possible.
